Wagon Wheel Diner offers a straightforward, no-frills dining experience that leans heavily into classic American comfort food, making it a solid pick for breakfast and lunch in St. George. Located on Red Cliffs Drive, this modest-sized diner draws a steady crowd looking for hearty, familiar dishes served with a friendly, personal touch.

Inside, the atmosphere feels cozy and relaxed—more intimate than a typical chain diner, which allows the staff to connect with customers in a genuine way. This smaller setting means seating can fill up quickly during peak breakfast hours, so it’s a good spot to visit slightly off-peak if you prefer a quieter meal.

The menu centers on hearty breakfast classics and comfort plates: country fried steak with eggs, biscuit and gravy platters, chicken and waffles, and a range of omelettes and pancakes. Several dishes stand out for their straightforward execution, like the cinnamon French toast on sweet Hawaiian bread and the cajun-seasoned chicken paired with waffles. There’s a balance here between traditional diner fare and touches that hint at local flavor preferences—such as the Texas Taco flatbread salad offering a lighter option for those not looking for the usual heavy breakfast.

Visitors who appreciate reliable portions and quick, attentive service will feel at home here. Locals likely drop in for weekend brunches or casual mornings when a good cup of coffee and satisfying breakfast are the goal. The staff’s friendliness and attentiveness seem to be a recurring note, contributing to a welcoming and easygoing vibe that fits well within St. George’s dining scene.

Overall, Wagon Wheel Diner suits people who want comfort food without pretense, served in a setting where servers know your name and the focus is on straightforward, familiar flavors. Early to late morning visits during the week or weekend brunch times offer the best chance to enjoy the bustling yet unpretentious environment, whether you're fueling up for a day of exploring or just seeking a classic diner experience in the neighborhood.

I had the Enchilada Verde Omelette. There was some bites that were really sweet (?). Not sure what that was from but otherwise everything is really good. The staff is awesome and the atmosphere is great. I will be back to try the waffles.

Whenever we come to Saint George we try to visit someplace new. Wagon Wheeler Diner was a pleasant surprise. Our waitress was super friendly and very efficient. The food was delicious. I loved the eggs Benedict. It is not a very large place and doesn't have a huge amount of seating but this allows more personalized service by the staff. I'll definitely visit again for breakfast.

Affordable, fast & friendly service. Quaint old fashion setting. The Cajun chicken for the chicken & waffle dish, is really good. Adding the strawberry jelly on top was chefs kiss. The texas taco is a good option for something healthy and tasty. My husband got the single burger with the cajun fries, burger was like any ordinary burger, but for that $8 price you can’t complain.

Good breakfast at a good price. Service: 2 young ladies doing the best they can hustling to service and clean 7 tables. Post to r and friendly. A bit uncoordinated. Atmosphere: Small diner. Decent decor. The people waiting for a table don’t have much to do but look at the people eating. Food: get the biscuit. Bacon is good. Eggs undercooked. Hash brown decent.
